Trump suggests Florida police officer that satyed
inactive and who does not insure the American insurance that is "cowardly"

US President Donald Trump suggested on Friday that the gunman who did not intervene during the shooting at Florida High School on Feb. 14 was a "coward", or that he may have been paralyzed by fear.

"They are trained, he did not react properly under pressure or he is a coward," said the president, citing by name Scot Peterson, deputy of the Sheriff of Broward County who had already been identified Thursday night.

Mr. Peterson was attached to high school protection.

"No doubt he did a bad job, there is no doubt about it," Trump said, adding that he was "surprised" that the authorities had disclosed his identity before saying: " It deserves that it be public ".

The sheriff of Broward County, where Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is located in Parkland, said on Thursday night that Mr. Peterson "was on campus (...) throughout" the shooting that killed 17 people .

"He was armed, he was in uniform," said Israel, adding that he could see in his videos his deputy "take a stand" outside the building where the shooting was taking place "and he is never enter".

He should have "come in, approach the killer, kill the killer," said Israel.

According to the sheriff, Mr. Peterson resigned after his suspension without pay.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, killed 17 people and wounded about 15 others in his old high school with a legally-purchased semi-automatic rifle. The shooting lasted almost six minutes.
